Dr. Brass is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, and has been practicing medicine in the Buffalo area for the past 22 years. He graduated from medical school at the University of Calgary and received fellowship training in Clinical Pharmacology from McGill University and in Infectious Diseases from Stanford University. Dr. Brass is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In 2000, he received the Robert S. Berkson MD Memorial Award for Compassion in Care and Excellence in the Art of Teaching from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Specialty: Podiatry and Foot Reconstructive Surgery

Dr. Nasca is Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has been practicing podiatry in the Buffalo area for the past 19 years. He graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and received post graduate training in Podiatric Surgery from the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh. He is past President of the Western New York division of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
 

Raymond Schultz, MD

Dr. Schultz is Board certified in Plastic Surgery, and has been practicing medicine in the Buffalo area for the past 5 years. He graduated from Albany Medical College and received fellowship training in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery from the University of Virginia. In 1997, Dr. Schultz was cited in the Mulhollader Report for Outstanding Contributions to Medical Student Education.
 

Michael S. Brogan, PT, DPT, PhD, CWS

Michael S. Brogan, PT, DPT, PhD, CWS

Dr. Brogan brings 22 years of clinical, academic, and research experience to our collaborative wound care team. Dr. Brogan is a Board Certified Diplomat and Wound Care Specialist of the American Academy of Wound Management. He has treated acute and chronic wounds over the last 18 years using contemporary and evidenced based interventions; and, he has served as a catalyst in moving wound care from a historical, conservative position to a more progressive and research oriented specialty, within and outside of the Western New York Region. As a licensed physical therapist he has continually practiced while teaching full-time, serving as the Chairman of the Physical Therapy Program, and as the Dean of the Health and Human Services Division at Daemen College in Amherst, New York. Dr. Brogan is an active and contributing member of the Natural & Health Sciences Research Center at Daemen College, where he and his colleagues have conducted numerous studies associated with chronic wound healing and related biochemical events, which have led to an abundant number of publications, presentations, and seminars nationally and internationally. Presently, he and his colleagues are working on a federally funded grant in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Defense. Dr. Brogan has lectured across the United States on Wound Management and has recently been invited and lectured at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing China in October of 2005.
 

Victoria DiCenzo, RN

Victoria DiCenzo

Ms. DiCenzo is registered nurse who earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo. She attended the Wound Care Education Institute and received certification in wound care and is also a certified laser specialist. She has worked as a nurse administrator in the Buffalo area in both long-term care and home care for over 25 years. A graduate of Leadership Buffalo class of 1993, she also received the 40 under 40 award in 1993.Currently, Ms. DiCenzo is an employee of the McGuire Group where she developed a successful inpatient wound care program. 
 

Garden Gate Health Care Facility and Rehab Services

The McGuire Group’s Garden Gate Health Care Facility has developed a specialized wound care management program designed to meet the unique needs of patients with diabetes, those with non-healing wounds, and the elderly. The program’s focus is to promote complete healing and recovery.

Quality care is at the core of our programs. Our dedicated staff of experts include Registered Nurses, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Registered Dietician, Pharmacist and Social Worker.

Garden Gate has the only rehab program in WNY to offer wound vac therapy. Wound care specialists assist patients in the spacious rehab center, which features top-of-the-line therapy equipment, whirlpool tubs, and electric-stimulators. The center also boasts of a full kitchen, bedroom, and laundry area to assist patients in re-learning activities of daily living. This added feature helps patients become more self-sufficient when returning home.
